Minecraft has quietly launched crossover add-on content with the horror game Poppy Playtime. This pack, titled Huggy and Friends, not only introduces a series of themed cosmetic items but also brings the most iconic monsters from Poppy Playtime into the blocky world, transforming Minecraft into a survival horror experience.

With millions of copies sold on Steam, Poppy Playtime has become one of the most successful independent horror games of the 2020s. The series has released four chapters, multiple spin-off works, and continuously expanding merchandise to date, with a live-action film adaptation also in the works. Developer Mob Entertainment has also been actively pursuing crossovers in recent years, releasing several collaborative titles.

Continuing this trend of collaboration, the Missouri-based studio teamed up with Dutch developer Spark Universe to surprise-release this new Minecraft add-on. The pack, available for 990 Minecoins (approximately $5.99), adds five classic Poppy Playtime characters to the game: Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, CatNap, The Doctor, and Doey the Doughman.

Mob Entertainment produced a unique promotional video for this release, showcasing two adventurers being chased by terrifying toys in the blocky world. These characters are not merely cosmetic replacements; they are added as new mob entities with unique AI and behavior patterns: Huggy Wuggy will relentlessly pursue players, Mommy Long Legs devises twisted game-like traps, and CatNap retains his signature ability to invade dreams. The Doctor monitors player actions, while Doey the Doughman can unpredictably switch between friendly and hostile states.

Huggy and Friends aims to merge the “open-world fun of Minecraft” with the suspenseful atmosphere of Poppy Playtime. Players who successfully survive the terrifying encounters will be rewarded with the “GrabPack gloves,” unlocking powerful abilities including jumping, grappling, burning, and electro-shock. Also launching simultaneously are five character-themed cosmetic items: the GrabPack, Huggy Wuggy Head, Kissy Missy Head, DogDay Pajamas, and CatNap Pajamas.
The pack is now available on the Minecraft Marketplace, fully compatible with the Bedrock Edition on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
